Givelify FAQ

Givelify FAQ

How secure is mobile or online giving? Givelify uses industry-reviewed, military-grade encryption standards to protect all confidential and sensitive data at the point of collecting, during transmission, and while at rest. (see more here)

How can I set up recurring giving? If your bank has an online bill payment service then you can set up your bank to automatically send a check to First Presbyterian Church, Tupelo, Mississippi. By using your own bank’s online bill payment you can easily manage the recurring donation from your bank’s website and the church is not charged any fees. Most banks offer this service free to their customers as well. Recurring giving is a great option. This can help you set a goal and keep it by having the amount automatically withdrawn and you’ll always be giving whether you’re present or not on a Sunday morning.

Will the information I provide be kept private? We take your privacy very seriously. When you make a donation, the church secretary receives an email with your name and the amount of your donation and email address. First Presbyterian Church never shares your information with anyone else. Also see Givelify’s privacy policy here.

How can I keep track of my online giving? You will receive an annual giving statement from the Church with the total amount given in the past year both from online and in person. You can also view all your online payments via the Givelify app.

What card brands and types do you accept? You can make contributions with your Visa, MasterCard, and Discover debit/credit cards through the mobile app or on the web. We strongly encourage the use of debit cards, cash, and checks. We pray that the credit card option will only be used by those who pay their entire balance at the end of every month. We strongly discourage those who have credit card debt from giving via a credit card.

Does 100% of my gift go to First Presbyterian Church? If you give via cash or check, then yes; however, if you are using the options to give online by mobile or web through Givelify, then no. As with any transaction using your card Givelify charges transaction fees. The transaction fee is 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. For example, if you give $100 through Givelify then the Church will receive $96.80. Please note that your entire $100 is tax deductible. We are happy to provide this service to make it easier, more convenient, and simpler to express your generosity.
