These young people, working with our Staff, participate in an opening retreat at Camp Hopewell usually\u00a0in January.\u00a0 Classes last for several weeks and focus on Bible study, as well as an introduction to Presbyterianism.<\/p><p>Working with mentor members from the congregation,\u00a0 they also participate in devotional study, a mission-outreach project,\u00a0 and write a personal faith statement.\u00a0 At the conclusion of the class, the Confirmands are given the opportunity to make their profession of faith before the Session and the congregation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text -->        <\/div>\n                        <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Confirmation Supported by the congregation, at baptism parents vow to nurture the infant in the Christian faith.\u00a0 Confirmation is the personal affirmation a young person makes that those vows reflect their own belief.
